Demoizella’s delivery is as seductive as it is unsettling. She melts into the microphone, alternating between rap cadences and devastatingly sweet melodies. Her lyrics activate liminal desires, evoke lost memories, and incite dance floor mayhem.
In the EP’s title track, Panama-born, Chicago-bred MC ZULU throws down a verse that throws the dance toward a fresh level of intensity. His 16 bars are followed by a monster Minimoog lead and Demoizella hook that will have folks calling for the rewind.

“Searchl1te & Las Vegas-based 119 Sound drop this 3-track EP that is at once lush and monstrous, diverse and coherent, for heads as well as booties. Comprised mostly of sounds from two synthesizers made out of cigar boxes (one is pictured in the cover art) and field recordings collected in New Mexico and Chicago, Antoine’s Cigar Box is premeditated bass music murder.
Antoine Kattar, the cigar box synths’ designer, builder and the EP’s namesake is one of North America’s top Funktion 1 sound system technicians. He’s recently toured with Tipper and annually sets up and tunes the monstrous Nexus sound system at the Burning Man Festival. Antoine also applies his gift of music and classically-trained skills to bent circuitry… then passes the product over to Searchl1te to gut out.”
As a teaser for the release of the EP, I put together a mix that spans tempo and style but is strictly a party rocker .. or at least something to shave your face to. Here’s my contribution to the 119 Sound Mix Series:
